OUR SENIOR + FASHION PORTRAIT PROCESS

CONSULTATION - Our Senior Portrait sessions begin with a free phone consultation to discuss your Senior Portrait vision. We want to capture what's most important to you and reflects your personality during this special time! Wether you're into sports, art, reading, nature, dance - whatever your hobbies and interests are, we'd like to get natural photos of you that capture your passions. After discussing locations, Senior portrait outfits and the theme, we'll pick a time and day that's convenient.

BOOKING - After your free phone consultation, to reserve your spot on your preferred day and time, you'll pay your deposit on our BOOK page through a secure online check out system.

PHOTOSHOOT DAY - We recommend arriving about 15 minutes early the day of your Senior Portrait shoot, already in your first outfit (unless it will wrinkle - then plan on changing in the car unless there's a bathroom on site). It's important to be dressed and ready as we may be targeting a specific time of day for the perfect light. After a short introduction to touch base we'll begin the shoot. The first look will take about 15-25 minutes and then you'll change into your second outfit in the car/ nearby bathroom  (unless we've packed it for a hike to a waterfall for example - then a large tree may serve as your dressing room!). After the second shoot we'll head back to the car and discuss when you can expect to see your amazing Senior Portraits!

DELIVERY OF PHOTOS & EDITING/ RETOUCHING - We deliver your unbranded and copyright-free Senior Portraits to you digitally in a compressed folder through a Dropbox link via email - typically within 2-3 weeks. You simply click on the link (just NOT with a mobile device - as the files are large high resolution photos) and download them for your use! They're ready for printing when they're delivered unless you desire retouching and further editing. We pride ourselves on capturing the most flattering angles with beautiful light and poses, but we understand that sometimes blemishes happen! So we offer Photoshop and Retouching services starting at $50 (see the Editing Package details above). If you desire those services, we typically return the retouched photos within 2-3 weeks, but offer rushes for +$50 if needed.

ALBUM DESIGN - If you want to design and order an album yourself - the images you receive will be full resolution and unbranded - ready for any use! Don't want to bother with uploading and designing and album? No problem. We offer custom album designs, from the photo album website of your choice! Just give us the login/ password to your favorite Photo Product site like  Shutterfly, Snapfish, Mixbook, Picaboo (or the many other's) and we'll upload and design it for you for $90/hour. Then you login, review our design and order it directly! No up-charging for albums with Liza Sue Productions. Want help ordering prints? We also offer technical help with uploading and ordering prints for $90/hour (minimum $90).

This fairy-tale like nature location is FREE! There are several trails, a pond, herb garden with small waterfall, beautiful fall berry trees, and the incredible ivy covered gazebos. WHAT TIPS SHOULD I BE AWARE OF WHEN LOOKING FOR A SENIOR PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER?

Look for someone who is upfront about what they charge and has a personality that works with you and your vision! Read reviews and check to see what others are saying. You want to be comfortable in front of the photographer, so make sure you have a consultation first, to check out their personality and ensure they're a good match.

WHAT DO I WEAR TO MY SENIOR PORTRAIT SESSION?

We recommend you where something that really represents YOU! Maybe a sun dress and for your second look something more casual like jeans and a dressy top. Or a suit/tie  and jeans and t-shirt. Other ideas include theatrical gowns, dance costumes, cap & gown, uniforms and sports wear, vintage inspired clothing, tuxes, dresses - whatever sounds fun to you! With our basic package we offer two looks, but are always happy to add on more for an additional fee.

WHAT IS NIGHT-TIME PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY?

Night time portrait photography is a totally separate type of photography from the majority of our portfolio that requires more equipment than our natural-light portrait sessions. The photographer brings a tripod, beauty dish and wire-less portrait light. The photographer will set up the portable studio light at the chosen location and take a few test shots before beginning. The Pros to this style of photography are an incredible, unique high-fashion result. The Cons are that there’s more work and equipment to prepare/ carry for the photographer so there are additional fees for this service. But if it’s in your budget - it’s well worth the investment to have such memorable portraits with a high-fashion impact. Great location ideas include downtown Cleveland, East 4th Street (with string lights in background), Edgewater beach and more!

WHAT CITIES DO YOU OFFER SENIOR PORTRAIT SESSIONS IN?

We are centrally located between Akron and Cleveland in Richfield, Ohio. While we are very familiar with the Richfield, Peninsula and Cuyahoga Valley National Park areas we've also traveled to some amazing photography locations on both the West and East side of Cleveland including Chesterland, Mentor, Solon, Strongsville, Avon, Aurora, North Royalton, Lakewood and even as far south as Canton along with many other cities in North East Ohio. We don't charge extra for traveling anywhere within a 30 minute drive of Richfield Ohio, but are always happy to go further for a travel fee.

WHEN WILL I GET MY SENIOR PORTRAITS BACK?

Our turn around time is typically 2-3 weeks. Need them faster? No worries! Orders can be rushed for $49 in most cases.

DO I GET THE RIGHTS TO MY PHOTOS AFTER THE SHOOT?

We are proud to be one of the only studios who offers you unbranded, copyright-free photos for no additional charge! We give you a minimum of 15 images that look amazing and ready for you to print wherever you like!

DO YOU OFFER SENIOR PORTRAIT ALBUM DESIGN OR PRINTING?

While we don't offer printing (as there's hundreds of online resources now available) we do offer a unique and affordable album design service and technical support help with ordering prints if you need it. We allow you to pick your preferred site, create your own login and password - give us the login info and we upload and design the album for $90/hour (minimum $90). You then login upon completion and approve the final Senior Portrait Album design and order it directly! There's no up-charging for albums or prints like traditional studios, just $90/hour for our time.

WHEN SHOULD I HAVE MY SENIOR PORTRAITS TAKEN?

Most Senior Portraits are taken the summer before your Senior year or Fall of the senior year.  However, if you don't need a Yearbook photo, some Seniors have them taken the spring of their Senior year.  Before we pick a date for the shoot, you should check with your school about the Senior Yearbook photo policies and deadlines.

DO YOU OFFER HAIR AND MAKEUP?

Services we offer

We do offer Senior’s hair and makeup at our Richfield Studio for $75 each (or $140 for both hair and makeup). We offer full contouring and highlighting, false lash application and can create almost any look you like. Bring a picture with you to the session and we'll magically recreate it on you! (To keep our costs reasonable, we ask you to bring your own skin-color-matching foundation/ concealer - and we'll provide the rest)

Makeup

If you’re doing your own - matte and powder based foundations photograph way better than reflective, shiny or liquid foundations. If you love your liquid foundation - consider bringing a translucent setting powder to minimize shine. DO NOT wear a lot of shimmer, shiny or sparkly highlighters or eyeshadows as it gives the model a greasy, shiny look - despite how much you may love highlighter in your every-day-life. Makeup tends to fade out in photos - so consider wearing a more heavy makeup look than you do for everyday. For example, if you were dressing up for a wedding or nice dinner that style of makeup would be more appropriate for a headshot. You might even consider false lashes (but the  NATURAL styled - NOT Lady Gaga style) as they can really help the eyes pop! If you have a break out or got no sleep the night before - no worries we can edit your images to remove any blemishes, whiten teeth, under-eye bags and so much more! If it’s not included with your package, just ask and we’ll add it on for a fee.

Hair

For hair styles we recommend wearing your hair for the photoshoot the way you would for a nice dinner out. Get your highlights and coloring done - if that’s how you prefer your hair. We do not recommend trying out a new hair style for your senior portrait session, as experiments can have mishaps and you don’t want to show up stuck with a new color/ cut/ style that you hate. We can easily add volume, remove fly-aways and adjust hair if for an additional fee if one of your favorite photos needs it!

WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME TO THE SENIOR PORTRAIT SHOOT?

You should bring your two outfits, brush, mirror and any makeup to touch up your look (unless we're doing your makeup/hair - then we'll have the touch up stuff handy and you just bring your foundation/ concealer ). If you're going to be hiking through woods, fields or water - we recommend rubber boots and a bag to carry the actual shoes in. You should also bring any special props like sports gear (if applicable), stacks of books, instruments, or whatever is meaningful to you that you’ll want to look back on and remember about your senior year!

HOW LONG DOES THE SENIOR SHOOT TAKE?

For our basic Senior Portrait session the photoshoot usually lasts about an hour (with about 45 minutes of shoot time and 15 minutes of prep and change time) unless you’re adding on time/ outfit changes.

CAN I BRING SOMEONE WITH ME TO THE SHOOT?

Absolutely! It's fun to have a close friend or parent who has a positive attitude and can build you up and can make you laugh! We recommend choosing someone who makes you laugh and you feel really good about yourself around. For an additional fee we also offer group sessions with your loved ones & friends!

WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD FOR THE DAY OF THE PHOTO SHOOT?

If we're scheduling an outdoor Senior portrait session, we'll be watching the weather closely as your day arrives and get in touch the day before to reschedule if necessary. We want the best results for your special pictures! We never charge additional for rebooking due to bad weather.
